Let me have pleasure of welcoming you on behalf of the “Minority Development & Protection Foundation (MDPF).” I am a professional, successfully running my own business in India & Abroad for the last 35 years. Based on my travel experiences around the world in connection with my business, I developed a desire to do something constructive for the financially deprived minorities of my motherland. The MDPF is child of that ‘desire.’
Minorities in India are 20-25% of the total population of the country. Out of this about 18-20% are Muslims. Their relentless struggle for their frugal Roti & Daal (daily bread) has kept most of them away from educational pursuit. This is causing frustration & gradual decay in their moral values which subsequently is goading them in getting involved in all shades of negative acts. The majority of Muslim minority is below poverty line and the paucity of such educational institutions as may cater to their need of free education (academic and vocational) has also aggravated the problem of getting at least basic education, particularly in the rural areas. MDPF is making sincere efforts to rectify their problems by providing them such vocational and academic training as may enable them to become able enough to earn their frugal daily bread. We are providing them professional training in computer operation, tailoring, cooking & personal hygiene. We are quite satisfied with our efforts but our contribution is only a drop in the ocean because of our limited monetary resources.
Our main targets are the remote, poor and backward areas of Delhi, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jharkhand.
I would request you to keep us informed of the conditions prevailing in your areas, specially the rural areas and send us your regular feedbacks on our efforts. May Allah take care of us. Ameen
